ATP Athens final
Djokovic – Musetti: November 8th, 2025 17:00
H2H: 8-1
Novak Djokovic is an accomplished man, but I misspoke yesterday when I said he’d been in the final here some nine times. Those were his ATP Finals final appearances and wins. As this is a new tournament, I mistook the long list of appearances for Athens, as there were zero results for Athens, and I didn’t see any notation. My apologies.
That said, let’s talk about Djokovic’s real accomplishments. He’s beaten Lorenzo Musetti eight times in his nine matches with the man. Musetti’s only win came in 2023, in the round of 16 at the ATP Monte Carlo. Djokovic has wins over Musetti at three Majors and the Olympic semifinals en route to the Gold. When Djoker is on his game, few can beat the man.
Musetti knows that he can beat Djokovic; it’s just going to take a Herculean performance. Musetti doesn’t have a tournament title this year, and this would put him on par with Djokovic, who might be caught looking ahead to his match against Taylor Fritz in the ATP Finals. Musetti knows that’s a long shot, but beating Djokovic is already going to require just that to begin with, so asking for it in this scenario doesn’t seem unreasonable.
This is Musetti’s third overall final. This is the seventh time he’s made the semifinals or later. He’s 7-3 indoors, and that’s to his advantage. If he can get a few things to go his way in addition to playing a competent match against Djokovic, then he might win his first crown of the year.

Best Bets to Make
Main Bet
Take Djokovic straight up at 1.5 on Unibet. There’s a lot that could go wrong in this match, and Musetti is a great opponent, but Djokovic has proven he can exploit him. There’s no need to get fancy with your betting. Picking a correct score will pay out 2:1 odds if you think it’s worth your time. You would want 2.25 on Bet365 if a correct score is your thing. 2:0 is much more likely than 2:1 with these two. That’s only ever happened twice.
That being said, Djokovic winning is a value bet.
Value bet/ the best odds: Djokovic winning 2:0 @2.25 @Bet365
Second Bet
If you’re taking Musetti, you can grab him straight up for 2.95 on Betfair. That’s going to be your simplest ticket to a decent payout. It doesn’t require you to take a decent underdog and play whack-a-mole with a correct score. They’re both 7-3 in their last ten matches, and they’re both riding a three-match winning streak into this final.
That being said, Musetti winning is a value bet.
