A rematch of the 2024 Wimbledon final, which saw Krejcikova win a very tight three setter to win her second career Slam. While Paolini is yet to win a Slam, she’s established herself as the more consistent player of the two here, even if Krejcikova’s injury woes this year have severely impacted her ranking. On current form, this should be a great opportunity for Paolini to get a first win in this matchup and get some payback for that Wimbledon final.

No one expected to see two qualifiers ranked outside the Top 100 facing at this stage of the tournament, but both have earned their spot with some fantastic performances in the previous rounds, defeating much higher ranked players. Both will be feeling extremely confident at the moment and will do their all to reach a WTA 1000 quarterfinal. It might well come down to who holds their nerve better in the biggest points of what should be a very close match throughout.
