Denis Shapovalov Joins Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz in Success this Year

The ATP Tour has become a tough hunting ground as we embrace a new generation of young champions. Every week there are different champions on different surfaces and in different parts of the world. Each winner is just striving to become an established member of the next celebrated “Big Group.”

As the competition is getting cutthroat every week, only three ATP stars have been able to lift three titles on the Tour since November 2024–two names that one would expect and a relatively experienced professional trying to find that vigor back. Denis Shapovalov, with his recent title win in Los Cabos, has now joined #1 Jannik Sinner and #2 Carlos Alcaraz as the only men on the Tour to have won three titles since November last year.

Title wins for Sinner, Alcaraz and Shapovalov

Alcaraz impressively has won five titles. They consist of one Grand Slam, two Masters titles, and two ATP 500 titles.
1. Rotterdam Open
2. Monte Carlo Masters
3. Rome Masters
4. Roland Garros
5. Queen’s Club Championships

Sinner has won three titles–and, impressively, two Majors in the three wins.
1. ATP Finals
2. Australian Open
3. Wimbledon

Shapovalov has now joined the best two players with some good title runs as well.
1. Belgrade Open
2. Dallas Open
3. Los Cabos Open

Shapovalov has always had great expectations but hasn’t been able to deliver consistently to his potential. With such impressive runs in recent times, this is a good opportunity for Canadian to build some form as the tournament heads to his home country for the Toronto Masters. His tournament wins may not be as lucrative as the ones won by Sinner and Alcaraz. However, he has kept himself ahead of the rest by adding deservingly to his trophy count. It will be fascinating to see if these three title winners add to their collection or if we get some new winners in the upcoming weeks on Tour.
