Alexander Zverev in action ahead of Roland Garros.

ATP Halle Quarterfinal Predictions Including Flavio Cobolli vs Alexander Zverev

Friday at the ATP 500 in Halle will feature all four quarterfinal matches and it should be a day filled with high quality tennis, despite the surprising elimination of defending champion Jannik Sinner Thursday. Alexander Zverev is now the highest ranked player left in the draw and the title favorite, but almost every player remaining player in the draw will feel like they have a very decent chance to take this trophy home.

ATP Halle Quarterfinal Predictions

Alex Michelsen vs Daniil Medvedev

Head-to-head: Medvedev 1-0 Michelsen

While Medvedev has been struggling and far from the level that took him to the US Open title and the #1 ranking, he has played quite well on grass in the past two years, proving to be a tough player to defeat on this surface. Michelsen has been playing well and steadily rising up the ranks, but it would likely take a peak level performance from him to take down Medvedev here.
Prediction: Medvedev in 2

Tomas Martin Etcheverry vs Karen Khachanov

Head-to-head: Khachanov 1-0 Etcheverry

Etcheverry has had a fantastic performance already considering the surface, with his win today over Rublev arguably the biggest upset of the week. That said, Khachanov is generally the better player of the two and the one who looks more comfortable on grass. Under normal circumstances, Etcheverry’s run should come to an end here.
Prediction: Khachanov in 2

Tomas Machac vs Alexander Bublik

Head-to-head: Bublik 1-0 Machac

Bublik had an incredible run to the quarterfinals at Roland Garros and is fresh off a huge win against Jannik Sinner Thursday. His confidence will be higher than ever and he is a former champion at this event, however the match after a big upset is always a very tricky one, Bublik is quite inconsistent by nature and Machac is no slouch. It is likely to be a very close match here.
Prediction: Bublik in 3

Flavio Cobolli vs Alexander Zverev

Head-to-head: Zverev 1-0 Cobolli

Zverev won in relatively straightforward fashion when the pair faced recently at Roland Garros and it seems unlikely that grass would help him in this matchup. Zverev reached the final last week in Stuttgart and is looking to make another deep run here on home soil. If he continues serving the way he has been serving, he’s certainly going to be very tough to break here.
Prediction: Zverev in 2
