ATP French Open Best Bets Including Alcaraz vs Paul

ATP French Open quarterfinals

Musetti – Tiafoe: 03.06.2025 14:00 CEST
H2H: 3-4

Lorenzo Musetti has won four of his last five matches. The Italian won two opening matches in straight sets this week in Paris. In the second round, Galan had no answer for Musetti’s game. The Italian won in straight sets within two hours. Navone’s toughest challenge came in the third round when he won the opening set against him. After losing the opening set 4-6, the Italian turned the match around quickly. Yesterday, in the 1/8-Finals, Musetti defeated Rune in four sets. Besides losing the second set 3-6, Musetti was a better player throughout the match.

Frances Tiafoe has won three of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Tiafoe defeated Safiullin in the opening round in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving six out of seven breakpoints. In the second round, he won against Carreno-Busta in straight sets. He served great, but he did not offer any breakpoints. The American defeated Korda in the third round in straight sets. He served once again great, saving both breakpoints he offered. Yesterday, in the 1/8-Finals, Tiafoe won once again in straight sets. Altmaier had a chance in the third set when he was 5-3 up. However, Tiafoe stayed calm and turned the third set around.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Musetti is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. He is a way better clay-court player than Tiafoe, and we expect him to dominate. Tiafoe has never succeeded at the French Open. Before this year’s edition, he had never made it past the third round.

That being said, Musetti covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Paul – Alcaraz: 03.06.2025 20:15 CEST
H2H: 2-4

Tommy Paul has won four of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Paul had a tough draw but overcame every obstacle. His toughest matches were in the second and third rounds, where he defeated Fucsovics and Khachanov in five tight sets. Yesterday, in the 1/8-Finals, the American defeated Popyrin in straight sets easily.

Carlos Alcaraz has won ten straight matches. This week in Paris, Alcaraz won against Zeppieri in the opening round in straight sets within two hours. In the second round, Alcaraz defeated Marozsan in four sets. After losing the second set 4-6, the Spaniard stepped up and dominated in the third and fourth sets. In the third round, he defeated Dzumhur in four sets. Yesterday in the 1/8-Finals, Alcaraz won against Shelton in four tight sets in an exciting match. Last season, he won the title against Zverev in the final. He is the biggest favourite to win the title this season.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Paul is the big underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Alcaraz struggled this week in Paris in almost every round. On the other hand, Paul built up his confidence and dominated in the 1/8-Finals. We expect Paul to hold his service games and keep this match tight.

That being said, Paul covering the games handicap is a value bet.
