ATP Indian Wells Day 3 Predictions Including Casper Ruud vs Marcos Giron

The ATP Indian Wells 2025 edition rolls into Day 3 of action with several top seeds in action along with dark horses. We try to preview and predict who moves forward in the first Masters 1000 tournament of the year, with every match of day 3 for both ATP and WTA Indian Wells predicted.

ATP Indian Wells Day 3 Predictions

Fabian Marozsan vs Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Fabian Marozsan just scraped by in his first round against the veteran Roberto Bautista Agut and the Hungarian is looking at another tough match against Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard. The Frenchman is climbing up the rankings and it will be very interesting to see how he performs this week. Expect Marozsan to get tired as the match progresses and Perricard to serve his way to the win.

Prediction: Perricard in 3

Matteo Berrettini vs Christopher O’Connell

Head-to-head – Berrettini 2-0 O’Connell

Matteo Berrettini will look to build on his recent good form on the hard courts with a deep run here. He takes on Christopher O’Connell who lost to Berrettini just last week in Dubai. The Italian should be well rested and even though O’Connell played a good match in his first round, expect Berrettini to over power the Australian pretty easily.

Prediction: Berrettini in 2

Jiri Lehecka vs Cameron Norrie

Head-to-head – Lehecka 1-2 Norrie

Jiri Lehecka has had a great year so far with a title to his name at Brisbane and he does look solid on hard courts thus far. He faces Cameron Norrie who hasn’t quite played his best this year but his first round match here was as good as he’s played in 2025. Expect a fierce battle between the two with Lehecka just managing to win as he is the more attacking of the two and that is what will be needed when the match elongates.

Prediction: Lehecka in 3

Casper Ruud vs Marcos Giron

Head-to-head – Ruud 2-1 Giron

Casper Ruud hasn’t played bad this year but has lacked the extra push to get him over the line at times. The fourth seed will look to start strong here and Marcos Giron may be the perfect opponent to do so. Giron does not have the firepower that Ruud possesses hence expect Ruud to find his range and dominate from the baseline

Prediction: Ruud in 2
