The ATP 250 series event being held at Marseille, France sees a jam packed draw with each match a potential blockbuster. The 2025 edition will get its last eight draw finalised on Day 4 and as ever, we at LWOT preview and predict the four Round of 16 matches scheduled.
ATP Marseille Day 4 Predictions
Hugo Grenier vs Jan-Lennard Struff
Head-to-head – Grenier 0-0 Struff
Hugo Grenier is on some roll after coming through qualifying and notching up a decent first round win. He faces the aggressive Jan-Lennard Struff who hasn’t had a very good start to 2025. The German, however, will look at this week as a great opportunity to get some important ranking points and clawing his way back up. Grenier did impress this week but Struff is more experienced at this level and he should be moving ahead.
Prediction: Struff in 2
Zizou Bergs vs Nuno Borges
Head-to-head – Bergs 1-0 Borges
Zizou Bergs had a great start to 2025 by reaching the finals at the Auckland Open but a first round exit at the Australian Open was a disappointment. He faces Nuno Borges for the second time in his career having faced him coincidentally earlier this year at the Auckland Open. Bergs did win that day but Borges had a better Australian Open and he took out the veteran Stan Wawrinka which should give him confidence. Expect a close encounter with Borges the eighth seed here reaching the last eight.
Prediction: Borges in 3
Hubert Hurkacz vs Zhizhen Zhang
Head-to-head – Hurkacz 3-1 Zhang
Hubert Hurkacz enters this tournament after having lost in the semifinals at the ATP Rotterdam Open in a tight match. The Pole is seeded fourth here and faces the dangerous Zhizhen Zhang who would have liked a better start to 2025. The Chinese did beat Hurkacz once in four attempts but he struggled in his first round match here. Expect Hurkacz to dominate on a faster hard court which suits his game style.

Pierre-Hugues Herbert vs Daniil Medvedev
Head-to-head – Herbert 1-2 Medvedev
Daniil Medvedev has had a horrid start to 2025 and this week looks ominous for him as well. He faces Pierre-Hugues Herbert on home soil and the Frenchman is extremely dangerous on these courts. Herbert comes off of a fighting win in the first round that should help him to hit his stride. Medvedev has looked out of sorts and expect him to do so once again against a player who will give him no rhythm.
Prediction: Herbert in 3
