ATP Adelaide Best Bets Including Paul vs Auger-Aliassime

ATP 250 Adelaide semifinals

Paul – Auger-Aliassime: 10.01.2025 06:30 CEST
H2H: 0-1

Tommy Paul has won three of his last five matches. Here in Adelaide, Paul defeated Guinard in three tight sets in the opening round. In the quarterfinals, Paul won against Hijikata in easy straight sets. Last year in Adelaide, Tommy reached the quarterfinals, losing against Jack Draper in straight sets. Shortly after, Tommy reached the third round in the Australian Open, losing in a tight match against Kecmanovic in five sets. However, shortly after that, Paul went on to win the tournament in Dallas, and just a week after, Paul finished as a runner-up in Delray Beach.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has won three of his last five matches. The young Canadian started this season by playing in the United Cup. He lost his opening match against Coric but defeated Fritz shortly after that. Here in Adelaide, Felix won his opening match against Cazaux after losing the first set 1-6. Today, in the quarterfinals, Felix defeated Giron in straight sets. Around this time last year, Felix played in Auckland, losing in the opening round against Altmaier in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Paul is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Tommy is the first seed, and based on the current draw, he is the best player in the tournament. Auger-Aliassime had a somewhat disappointing last season, and we believe he will need some time to get back to his best form.

That being said, Paul winning is a value bet.

Kecmanovic – Korda: 10.01.2025 11:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Miomir Kecmanovic has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Hong Kong, Kecmanovic lost in the second round against Muller in three tight sets. Here in Adelaide, Miomir won his opening match against Bublik in straight sets, as we had predicted. Today, in the 1/8-Finals, Kecmanovic defeated O’Connell in straight sets as we predicted. After that, in the quarterfinals, Miomir won against Bonzi in straight sets, as we predicted. Last year in Adelaide, Kecmanovic lost against Draper in the 1/8-Finals in three tight sets. This will also be his third appearance in the tournament, and he has never made it past the second round.

Sebastian Korda has won three of his last five matches. Here in Adelaide, Korda looked great in his opening match against Davidovich Fokina, winning in easy straight sets. Today, in the quarterfinals, Kokkinakis withdrew from the match, so Korda went into the semifinals without having to play his quarterfinal match. The last match he played before the ATP Adelaide was at the US Open last year in August. Korda underwent surgery on his right elbow, which is why he skipped the second part of the 2024 season. Last year in Adelaide, Korda reached the semifinals, losing against Lehecka in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Kecmanovic is the slight underdog, but we disagree. Kecmanovic has played great so far this week, and we believe that he will have momentum on his side and win against Korda.

That being said, Kecmanovic winning is a value bet.
