ATP Monte Carlo Best Bets Including Djokovic vs De Minaur

Novak Djokovic has withdrawn from the Shanghai Masters.

ATP Monte Carlo quarterfinals

Djokovic – de Minaur: 12.04.2024 14:30 CEST
H2H: 1-1

After Nole completely destroyed Safiullin in the 1/16-Finals, he had to push harder today against Musetti. Novak was 2-4 down in the first set. Musetti was 40-0 up on his serve, but then, Novak played a couple of amazing points and broke his serve. After that, the match was pretty one-sided. It is not the first time that Novak has made a comeback. Coming back in the match is slowly becoming his trademark. So far this season, Novak has yet to play a championship match. This may be his chance, as he will face Alex de Minaur, who is not the best clay court player.

Alex de Minaur played another solid match in Monte Carlo. After winning against Wawrinka and Griekspoor in the first two rounds, de Minaur won today against Popyrin in straight sets. Before Monte Carlo, de Minaur played all of his matches this season on the hard court. He played in the final in Rotterdam, and he also won the title in Acapulco. He also made his debut into the top 10 this season. De Minaur loves to play on fast surfaces, and we are not sure how he will do against a great clay court player like Novak.

Best Bet to Make

As the tournament goes on, we believe that Djokovic will step up his level. Nole is a great clay court player, and we believe that he will win another match in straight sets. De Minaur had some recent success, but it was only on the hard court. He has never had any remarkable success on the clay courts, so we believe that Nole will win easily tomorrow.

That being said, Djokovic winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Humbert – Ruud: 12.04.2024 16:00 CEST
H2H: 3-1

Ugo Humbert won today against Sonego in three hard-fought sets. Lorenzo Sonego was the better player for the most part of the match. After Humbert saved three consecutive break points in the second set, Humbert got much needed self-confidence back and started playing better. He won that set 6-3 and the third set was one-sided. Before this match, Humbert won against Coria and Zhang.

Casper Ruud had another great performance in Monte Carlo. He won in straight sets against Hurkacz today. Ruud did not serve heavily, but he served smartly. He did not offer any breakpoints in the match and won his service games easily. He broke Hurkacz three times and that was enough for an easy win. Even though Ruud is currently not in the best form, he is always one of the best players on the clay court.

Best Bet to Make

All being said, Humbert did not show much today. Casper Ruud is one of the best clay court players at the moment. We believe that he will show that tomorrow as well.

That being said, Ruud winning in straight sets is a value bet.
