Wimbledon Day 6 Women’s Predictions Including Elena Rybakina vs Katie Boulter

Elena Rybakina ahead of WTA Montreal

Expect plenty of exciting tennis on day six at Wimbledon. There are eight intriguing third-round matches on the schedule at the All England Club and, as always, we here at LWOT will be offering our predictions for every match, including Elena Rybakina vs Katie Boulter. But who will punch their ticket to the second week?

Wimbledon Day 6 Predictions

Aryna Sabalenka vs Anna Blinkova

Yesh: Aryna Sabalenka started slow in her second round match but turned things around enough to advance. Don’t expect her to have an issue like that again.

Prediction: Sabalenka in 2

Andreas: Sabalenka’s win over Varvara Gracheva was certainly an important boost; despite her incredible year, she hasn’t won matches when not at her best. Blinkova is a similar player to Gracheva as her game revolves around consistency and strong backhands. With that, Sabalenka should come into this with confidence, and it could be a quick match. The two haven’t played since late 2020.

Prediction: Sabalenka in 2

Jordan: Blinkova is into the third round for the first time, and Sabalenka was just two games from going out before manufacturing a comeback. I do not think Blonkova will push the number two seed that close though. Sabalenka will have gotten a wake up call from her last match.

Prediction: Sabalenka in 2

Madison Keys vs Marta Kostyuk

Yesh: Madison Keys finally looks to be in consistent form, which is scary for any player. It’s even scarier for someone like Marta Kostyuk, who’s not so consistent herself right now.

Prediction: Keys in 2

Andreas: Kostyuk stunned Maria Sakkari in the first round, coming back from an uncharacteristic bagel in the first set. It’ll be intriguing to see if she could achieve another major scalp at this year’s tournament. Keys has looked great in her first two matches, and given her strong record in Grand Slams, she should move through.

Prediction: Keys in 2

Jordan: Kostyuk had a much easier time against Paula Badosa after her sensational comeback against Maria Sakkari. Keys is the 25th seed and is one of the tour’s most solid performers. But I think Kostyuk might have a special run this year. Kostyuk to win again.

Prediction: Kostyuk in 3

Sorana Cirstea vs Beatriz Haddad Maia

Yesh: Beatriz Haddad Maia broke through last year but struggled in the Majors. This year, she’s looking good in the biggest events, too.

Prediction: Haddad Maia in 3

Andreas: Haddad Maia’s been able to follow up her strong French Open result with a nice run here. As her game suits the grass very well, it was surprising to see some of her losses over the past month. Cirstea is coming off a big upset over Ostapenko, but it’s typically difficult to win in two consecutive upsets at Wimbledon. This definitely could be a close match, however.

Prediction: Haddad Maia in 3

Jordan: Cirstea is in her 18th grand slam third round. She is a solid player but often struggles to go further than this point. The 13th seed Haddad Maia to have too much.

Prediction: Haddad Maia in 2

Petra Kvitova vs Natalija Kostic

Yesh: Petra Kvitova looks in great form. Many expected her to contend for this title before the event started, and she looks like she very well may do that.

Prediction: Kvitova in 2

Andreas: Kvitova is bringing her A-game and that works flawlessly on the grass. This could definitely be a nice opening for Kvitova to move into the second week; she’s surprisingly only made the second week once since her 2014 Wimbledon victory.

Prediction: Kvitova in 2

Jordan: Kvitova is showing the kind of form in these early rounds that won her Wimbledon on two occasions. She looks as focused as she has in a long time. Kostic is an impressive performer but I don’t think many can stop Kvitová right now.

Prediction: Kvitova in 2
