ATP Miami Day 3 Predictions Including Marton Fucsovics vs Holger Rune

Holger Rune Australian Open

Day 3 at the second ATP Masters 1000 of the season, in Miami, will feature the tournament debut of many of the seeds, including some of the brightest young stars on Tour like Holger Rune and Jannik Sinner, who’ll be aiming to lift the trophy on Sunday next week. As always, we predict all of the day’s matches here at LWOT. We split up Friday’s matches between four articles. The other three feature Casper Ruud vs Ilya Ivashka, J.J. Wolf vs Andrey Rublev, and Carlos Alcaraz vs Facundo Bagnis. Who do you think will win?

ATP Indian Wells Day 3 Predictions

Dusan Lajovic vs Maxime Cressy

Head-to-head: Cressy 1-0 Lajovic

Lajovic got a fantastic and very surprising win over Andy Murray in the first round and will be coming into this match full of confidence against an opponent who has been somewhat struggling so far this year, losing all three of his last matches. Cressy’s style isn’t a very good fit for these Miami courts on paper, so another upset win could well be in the cards for Lajovic.
Prediction: Lajovic in 3

Diego Schwartzman vs Wu Yibing

Head-to-head: first meeting

Schwartzman has been struggling massively so far this year, barely winning any matches at all and looking completely lost on court and devoid of confidence. Wu, on the other hand, is having quite the breakthrough here, with a maiden title even. He should be able to win here considering the players’ current level and form.
Prediction: Wu in 2

Jannik Sinner vs Laslo Djere

Head-to-head: Djere 2-1 Sinner

Sinner was arguably Carlos Alcaraz’s biggest challenge in Indian Wells and he’s a former finalist here in Miami. He’s still looking for his first Masters 1000 title and is one of the favorites to claim the trophy here in Miami. Despite the head to head in his favor, Djere is highly unlikely to put up any meaningful resistance here.
Prediction: Sinner in 2

Marton Fucsovics vs Holger Rune

Head-to-head: first meeting

Rune finished 2022 in style, winning several tournaments including a Masters 1000 in Bercy over Novak Djokovic. But 2023 hasn’t confirmed those positive signs so far and he’ll be looking to start changing the tide here in Miami. Fucsovics can be a tricky opponent at times, but Rune should be able to go through here.
Prediction: Rune in 2
