Gojowczyk won their only meeting, Paul has put together a solid season with a 14-8 record, he hasn’t lost an opening round match all season. Cuevas secured some wins in clay court challengers, the veteran loves this surface but doesn’t have an ATP win this season. Purcell qualified and is at a career high ranking, still on clay Cuevas should be able to work his way into the rallies and dictate play. Cuevas in 2
Mackenzie McDonald vs Nick Kyrgios
Three wins in Miami, and four in Indian Wells shows Kyrgios still has tons of talent despite his poor ranking. McDonald reached the third round in Miami and the second in Indian Wells.
