Miami Masters March 23 Best Bets – Featuring Adrian Mannarino

Adrian Mannarino Cologne ATP

First round action continues on Wednesday at the Miami Masters. With a heap of matches around the grounds let’s take a closer look at some of the best betting options.

Miami Masters Best Bets March 23

Astra Sharma vs. Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka is being priced based on the player she used to be, she’s not that player right now. She’s weaker and more vulnerable. That was clear in Indian Wells. I’m happy to fade Osaka in some capacity until that changes.

Astra Sharma has absolutely nothing to lose in this matchup, but she’s got a heap to gain. That’s always a good spot to be in. I doubt Osaka comes out and blows Sharma off the court, there’s likely to be some rust in Osaka’s game given her lack of match play. Sharma has enough weapons of her own to roll through a few service games, I think the total games over hits on this occasion. I don’t mind staking a very small amount on a Sharma upset, crazier things have happened.

Recommended Selections:
Total games over 17.5 – 1 unit @ -158
Astra Sharma ML – 0.5 units @ +1067

(WC) Linda Fruhvirtova vs. Danka Kovinic

Kovinic seems undervalued, the odds for this matchup are actually quite disrespectful. Fruhvirtova is an impressive talent at 16 years of age, but she clearly has very little experience at this level. Fruhvirtova has never played a main draw match at this level, technically this is the biggest match of her career. Recent losses to Arina Rodionova, Ekaterina Kazionova, Jessika Ponchet and Rebecca Marino suggest Fruhvirtova is still a raw talent, with a lot of work to do.

Kovinic is coming off a good tournament in Indian Wells. The 27-year-old secured a pair of notable wins in Indian Wells, beating Jil Teichmann in the opening round, then defeating Karolina Pliskova from a set and 2-5 down, one of the biggest wins of her career. The 27-year-old is far more experienced at this level and must be confident off those wins, I’d have her the favourite here.

Recommended Selections:
Danka Kovinic – 2 units @ -113

Adrian Mannarino vs. Nick Kyrgios

These odds are extremely disrespectful to Mannarino. Yes, Kyrgios is in good form after a run to the quarterfinals in Indian Wells, but Mannarino is no pushover and has played some great tennis of his own this season.

This will be the first meeting between the pair, Mannarino is a frustrating opponent and Kyrgios is easily frustrated. The Frenchman has a high rally tolerance, it remains to be seen how Kyrgios handles this mahchup. I’m happy to take a shot at Mannarino at these ridiculously high odds, he definitely has a chance.

Recommended Selections:

Adrian Mannarino ML – 1.5 units @ +317

Recommended selections are based on a 5 unit betting system where 1 unit is a minimum stake, and 5 units is the maximum stake.
