Norbert Gombos vs Ugo Humbert
Head to head – First Meeting
Ugo Humbert should have had plenty of time to recover from his five set loss to Nick Kyrgios at the Australian Open. The Frenchman should enjoy playing at home and with the fast indoor courts, Humbert is a dangerous opponent for anyone in the draw. Norbert Gombos hasn’t won a main draw match this year and that’s likely to continue as Humbert’s level will prove to be too good.

Hugo Gaston vs Lorenzo Sonego
Head to head – First Meeting
Lorenzo Sonego is another player who should feel pretty good with the conditions here. The Italian should be disappointed with his performance in Melbourne but a new tournament provides new opportunities and Sonego should be pretty hopeful this week. His opponent, Hugo Gaston will not be too easy to put away though. The Frenchman hasn’t had a good start to 2021 and one feels his game is best suited for clay. Expect the Italian to out hit Gaston and progress forward.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs Sebastian Korda
Head to head – First Meeting
This is not going to be easy for the Frenchman. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is playing his first match of 2021 and its against Sebastian Korda. The American has already made two finals this year, winning one (challenger event) and losing the final in Delray Beach. Korda’s game is very aggressive like Tsonga but the American’s form is much better heading into this match. Tsonga will have his hands full in his opening match of 2021 and looks like Korda should just edge this one.
