It’s a busy day at the ATP Kitzbuhel Open 2020 with all eight Round of 16 matches scheduled for Day 3. We at LWOT preview and predict all eight matches. Also in action is the top seed Fabio Fognini who plays his first match since the tour restarted.

ATP Kitzbuhel Open Day 3 Predictions

Nikoloz Basilashvili vs Federico Delbonis
Head to head – First Meeting

This is a tough match for Nikoloz Basilashvili first up here at Kitzbuhel. Federico Delbonis is a tricky customer to deal with and the Argentine played imperiously in his first-round match. Expect a gruelling three-setter in their first meeting ever with Basilashvili just managing to win on the back of superior groundstroke power.
Prediction: Basilashvili in 3

Sebastian Ofner vs Diego Schwartzman
Head to head – First Meeting

Diego Schwartzman begins his Kitzbuhel Open campaign against an opponent who he should be able to dispatch without much difficulty. The Argentine is one of the best movers on clay and his baseline play is super consistent. Sebastian Ofner did manage to win his previous match against Radu Albot but Schwartzman should prove to be a class apart on clay.
Prediction: Schwartzman in 2

Jordan Thompson vs Miomir Kecmanovic
Head to head – Kecmanovic 3-0 Thompson

Should easily be the match of the day. Both men are in decent form with Miomir Kecmanovic upsetting Kei Nishikori in the first round and Jordan Thompson backing his fourth-round appearance at the US Open with a win over John Millman. The Serb has enjoyed success over the Aussie in the past but this match is likely to be a tough encounter. Expect the Serb to be slightly more clutch on the bigger points and continue his winning ways.
Prediction: Kecmanovic in 3

Feliciano Lopez vs Guido Pella
Head to head – Lopez 1-0 Pella

This should be an interesting match as well. These two last played each other in the Australian Open 2016 which went to five sets out of which four were tiebreaks. Expect something similar when they meet again as both put up exceptional serve numbers in their first-round matches. Expect a three-setter with the Argentine who plays his best on clay to just scrape through.
Prediction: Pella in 3
