ATP Kitzbuhel Open Day 3 Predictions

Hubert Hurkacz vs Maximilian Marterer

Head to head – First Meeting

Maximilian Marterer has certainly impressed coming through qualifying and beating Dennis Novak in what could have been a tricky encounter. His next opponent in Hubert Hurkacz would definitely be a tougher opponent. The Pole has great power off both wings and if looked decent in his win over Joao Sousa. If the Pole can pick up his first serve percentage then he should be the one going through.
Prediction: Hurkacz in 2

Laslo Djere vs Jannik Sinner

Head to head – Djere 1-0 Sinner

An extremely tight match to call. Laslo Djere went past Albert Ramos Vinolas in a tight three-setter. The Serb looked shaky at times on his serve but would be happy with the win nevertheless. However, his opponent, Jannik Sinner, looked in supreme touch dispatching Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets. It was a near-flawless match from Sinner and expect the young Italian to carry that momentum forward.
Prediction: Sinner in 2

Yannick Hanfmann vs Dusan Lajovic

Head to head – First Meeting

It was a disappointing day for Alexander Bublik but credit to Yannick Hanfmann for making the most of it. He now takes on Dusan Lajovic who is desperate for a win. The Serb hasn’t won a singles match since the tour restarted and he has a winnable match on his hands. Lajovic is extremely consistent and plays very well on clay and against Hanfmann he should be able to dictate rallies. Expect Lajovic to get back to winning ways.
Prediction: Lajovic in 2

Fabio Fognini vs Marc-Andrea Huesler

Head to head – First Meeting

The top seed Fabio Fognini plays his first match since the tour restarted and he couldn’t have asked for a better opening match. He takes on Marc-Andrea Huesler who did win a good match against Emil Ruusuvuori in a third set tiebreak. That being said, Fognini loves the clay and he should overpower the Swiss. Expect Fognini to be rusty but he should get the job done.
Prediction: Fognini in 3
