Johnny Williams set to sign for Scarlets – reports

Newcastle Falcons centre Johnny Williams is set to join up with former coach Glenn Delaney at the Scarlets as he replaces the outgoing Hadleigh Parkes, according to latest reports.

Johnny Williams moves to Wales

Williams, who recovered from testicular cancer last year to stage a remarkable comeback in January will link up with Delaney’s side ahead of the restarting Guinness Pro14 season.

The 23-year-old, who has only featured in one uncapped test match under Eddie Jones, against the Barbarians, is therefore eligible for Wales should he choose to play for them.

The move will see him link up with his former coach at London Irish, Glenn Delaney, who’ll be leading the Scarlets with Brad Mooar set to join the All Blacks setup.

Williams joins a number of Welsh players moving back across the border including Nick Tompkins from Saracens, Jonah Holmes who is going to the Dragons and it’s also expected that Leicester back rower Sione Kalamafoni will also link up with the Scarlets.
