'In The Bin' Rugby Pod - Season 1, Episode 23

Only one place to start this week and that’s the return of the greatest rugby competition on Earth – the 6 Nations! The boys from ‘In the Bin’ rugby pod are back to review a brilliant opening weekend, with plenty of drama.

While not a lot was happening; apart from the ‘big show’ you know every other player in Europe is dying to get out on the park. Guinness Pro14 and the Aviva Premiership fixtures restart (minus their Internationals).

NatWest 6 Nations review

In the run up to this year’s tournament, Scotland have been ‘talked up’ more than the value of investing in Bitcoin. However, it was a Halfpenny who pounded the Scots and showed that the only currency Wales are dealing in, is tries.

In Paris, we saw one of the most dramatic endings to a game in 6Nations history. Johnny Sexton showed he had balls the size of genetically modified pumpkins to produce a Champagne moment for the Irish. That no doubt led to a ‘knees up’ that night for all the travelling Irish fans, but …..they must be careful after the miraculous anatomical revelation that brains are also in our knees and a bang to them can cause concussion….?? Yeah right.

The final game of the weekend saw tournament favourites England travel to Rome and the return of rucks. England eventually ground Italy down, to dominate the final quarter and win comfortably–despite a decent showing by the Azzurri.

Big Story Roundup

We will also round up the latest transfer news across Europe. And there is something surprising to discuss…. New Zealand might actually allow some of their players to play overseas* in new pragmatical sabbatical proposals!

 * Warning–in New Zealand, it might be closer to April Fools than in the UK….hee hee
