We have two separate reports about the Alien Among Us, Kris Statlander. Earlier this month, a report circulated that Kris had signed with NXT. This would prove to not be accurate, but now there are other rumors of her signing. Following two successful appearances for AEW, our sources say that they have offered her a deal. This backs up a recent report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In the December 2 edition of Meltzer’s famed newsletter, he has this to say:
“Regarding Kris Statlander, it looks like she’ll be signing here. She and WWE were close to a deal but they had not sent a contract and then AEW booked her. WWE was under the impression she was coming in January and both sides want her. Her working here the last few weeks, and we know AEW is looking to sign her as well, would indicate AEW is the likely final destination.”
Statlander is just two and a half years into her career and the galaxy is the limit. Kris is a native of Long Island, New York and she trained at the Create-A-Pro Wrestling School that also produced MJF. She’s been a standout in many independent promotions in 2019. These include Beyond Wrestling, Limitless Wrestling, AAW Pro, SHIMMER, Shine, and WrestlePro among many others. Her appearances on AEW Dark and Dynamite have been in tag team contests thus far. Hopefully, we see the Alien in singles competition very soon as she looks to invade and rule AEW as their leader!
