Jake Dennis has raced in Formula E since Season 7 and has become the Andretti flag-bearer in recent years.
Jake Dennis’ Rise to Formula E
Dennis was born in Nuneaton, United Kingdom, in 1995. He debuted in karting at eight, winning the junior British Championship in 2010. The Brit stepped into the single-seater world in 2011, racing in the InterSteps championship. He won the title, collecting eight victories.
Dennis raced in Formula Renault 2.0 in the following season, moving to the European Formula 3 in 2014. He took part in two consecutive seasons: during the first year, he ended ninth in the standings. The Brit finished in third place in 2015, after obtaining eight successes.
In 2016, Dennis debuted in GP3. He won two races, achieving fourth place in the final standings – Charles Leclerc won the title.
In 2016, the Englishman joined the Endurance World Championship. He took part in two races, participating in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He raced in DTM until 2019. In 2024, Dennis was involved in the GT World Challenge Europe.
Dennis plays a role in the F1 paddock, becoming a test driver for Red Bull. The Brit has covered this position since 2018. In 2023, he debuted in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix’s free practices, driving the RB19.

Dennis’ first years in Formula E
During the last months of 2020, Dennis was chosen by Andretti to race in Formula E Season 7. The Brit started his journey in the electric category with some difficulties.
Dennis’ season took a turn in Valencia, where the Andretti driver obtained pole position, winning the second race of the weekend.
He was back on the highest step of the podium in London – his home race – collecting the victory in the first race. He finished the season in third place with 91 points.
The Brit remained with Andretti during the following season, which proved to be tougher.
Dennis opened Season 8 with a third place, collected in Diriyah but only returned to the podium only during the last races of the season.
For the second year in a row, Dennis won the London E-Prix, obtaining the silver medal during the second race of the British weekend. He closed the season with third place in the Seoul race.
The Andretti driver collected 126 points, finishing the year in sixth place.

Jake Dennis Becomes World Champion
Season 9 has been the best Formula E season for the Andretti driver to date.
He opened the year winning the Mexico E-Prix, the first race of the calendar. The Brit collected two P2 finishes in Diriyah, which hosted the second and the third rounds.
Dennis came back to the podium in Berlin, where he finished second, and appeared on the third step in Monaco. Dennis collected other three podiums in a row: he ended up being second in the double round of Jakarta and in the Portland race.
He won the Rome E-Prix, and while in London he concluded the first round in P2 and the third in P3.
The great results brought Dennis to collect 226, becoming the Formula E Season 9 World Champion with a race in advance.
Dennis’ Latest Seasons
After obtaining the World Title, Dennis had a difficult Season 10.
The Andretti flag-bearer collected a single win, in Diriyah, while stepping on the podium the other three times. The Brit finished P3 in Tokyo and collected two-second places in Misano.
Dennis concluded Season 10 in seventh place, with a total of 121 points, with the title going to Pascal Wehrlein.
He started Season 11 with a DNF during the Sao Paulo E-Prix but concluded the second round – the Mexican race – just under the podium.
