The start of the 2023 season has arrived – F3 Testing. Teams began preparation to see who’s worthy of a seat next season.
Post-season testing lasts three days and is being held in Jerez, Spain. Each day is split into two sections, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. With the first day of F3 testing already completed, let’s take a look at the top ten drivers from each session.
Morning Session
The three-hour session had big disruptions as the drivers came to grips with the new cars. Two red flags were brought out as teammates Gabriele Mini and Sebastian Montoya each made contact with the barrier at Turn 10. Despite Mini’s collision, he found himself topping the leaderboard for Hitech Grand Prix.
- Gabriele Mini (Hitech Grand Prix)
- Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix)
- Josep Maria Marti (Campos Racing)
- Zak O’Sullivan (PREMA Racing)
- Reece Ushijima (Hitech Grand Prix)
- Gregoire Saucy (ART Grand Prix)
- Christian Mansell (Campos Racing)
- Sebastian Montoya (Hitech Grand Prix)
- Jonny Edgar (MP Motorsport)
- Oliver Goethe (Trident)
A strong start for Hitech as all three of their cars finished in the top eight, with hopeful rookie Mini leading the way. A rookie driving for Hitech setting the fastest time, are we looking at another Isack Hadjar for next season?
The fun's not over just yet – it's time to return to Jerez for post-season testing! 🇪🇸

Half an hour into the session, it was halted after ART Grand Prix driver Roberto Faria got his car stuck in the gravel at Turns 8 and 9. The session was further delayed by another red flag that was caused by Charouz driver Emerson Fittipaldi Jr. when he made contact with the barrier at Turn 10. ART Grand Prix’s Kylan Frederick set the fastest time ahead of rookie Dino Beganovic.
- Kaylen Frederick (ART Grand Prix)
- Dino Beganovic (PREMA Racing
- Gregorie Saucy (ART Grand Prix)
- Refael Villagomez (Vans Amersfoort Racing)
- Gabriel Botoleto (Trident)
