AIX Racing have officially signed Italian talent Nicola Marinangeli for the 2025 FIA Formula 3 season.
AIX Racing Announce Second Driver for 2025 F2 Season
The 21-year-old brings a wealth of experience across multiple racing series and is expected to add depth to the team’s challenge in the fiercely competitive Formula 3 grid.
With Marinangeli onboard, AIX Racing is aiming to build on its previous performances and establish itself as a strong contender in the upcoming season.
Marinangeli joins previously announced driver Javier Sagrera. The team is yet to confirm its third driver for the upcoming championship.
Marinangeli’s Racing Background
He began his racing career in karting in 2018 and quickly transitioned to the Italian F4 Championship. There, he achieved several podiums and points with DR Formula.
The following year, he competed in both the Formula 4 UAE Championship and the Italian F4 Championship.
The following year, Marinangeli secured his first single-seater victory in the 2020 Formula 4 UAE Championship. He finished fifth overall with one win and multiple podiums.
The Italian driver participated in the Formula Renault Eurocup and the Formula Regional European Championship in 2020 and 2021.
In 2022, Marinangeli transitioned to the Euroformula Open Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing. He was P12 in the final standings.
Expanding his horizons, he ventured into GT racing in 2024, joining AF Corse in the International GT Open and the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup.
Marinangeli adapted well in endurance racing, securing a race win and multiple podiums in the International GT Open. He ended the season in sixth in the PRO class standings.
His addition is expected to enhance AIX Racing’s competitiveness in the highly anticipated 2025 season.
Expressing his enthusiasm following the announcement, Marinangeli stated:
“Such a great honor for me to join the FIA Formula 3 grid with AIX Racing this year. It will be an interesting challenge for me, considering the two years racing in GT3. Couldn’t be more motivated for this experience. Let’s see what this year brings.” – Nicola Marinangeli.
His transition back to Formula 3 marks an exciting chapter in his career, as he aims to showcase his adaptability and skill in one of the most competitive junior single-seater series in the world.

Anticipation for the 2025 Season

AIX Racing, entering its third year in the championship, aim to build upon its previous performances and make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
With one driver yet to be announced, fans can look forward to seeing AIX Racing’s trio in action. The season kicks off in March 2025 at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne.
The Formula 3 Grid
The Formula 3 grid is nearly complete. Only AIX Racing are left to announce their third driver for the upcoming season.
