Gwen Lagrue, Driver Development Advisor for Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1, praised her adaptability and growth:
“Making the switch from GT and endurance cars is never easy, as both the driving style and skill set required are different. She handled that change well, achieving success in several championships and competing strongly in F1 Academy. Building Experience
While F1 Academy remains her central focus, Pin’s plans extend beyond a single series.
She will continue competing in the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA), which she raced in alongside 2023 F1 Academy Champion Marta García in 2024 for the Iron Dames. Pin competed in 15 races this year and finished 27th.
She will also race in select rounds of the F4 United Arab Emirates Championship during the winter. In 2024, Pin raced in four rounds with Prema. She finished tenth in the championship with one pole position and a victory in preparation for her F1 Academy campaign.
Pin confirmed through social media that she will race at Dubai, Yas Marina, and Jeddah.

A Rising Star
Doriane Pin’s journey reflects the aim of the Iron Dames project, which strives to elevate women in motorsport. F1 Academy shares this goal.
With three wins and five podiums in her debut F1 Academy season totalling 217 points for second place, she has already proven what she is capable of.
However, the 20-year-old is striving for more. In 2025, she aims to surpass her previous achievements and claim the title.
She joins Chloe Chambers (Red Bull Ford), Ella Lloyd (McLaren), Rafaela Ferreira (RB), Courtney Crone (Haas), Alba Hurup Larsen (Tommy Hilfiger), Nina Gademan (Alpine), and Alisha Palmowski (Red Bull), and Emma Felbermayr (Kick Sauber) in what will be an exciting season. Eight other drivers are to be confirmed.
Pin is one of two 2024 rookies confirmed to return for their second and final F1 Academy season. However, she is the first to return with their Driver Academy as Chambers transitions from Haas to Red Bull.
Three other 2024 rookies: Maya Weug (Ferrari), Tina Hausmann (Aston Martin), and Aurelia Nobels (PUMA) are yet to be confirmed for a 2025 return.
Weug and Hausmann were the French driver’s 2024 teammates at Prema. Together, they won the Team’s Championship with Pin and Weug second and third in the Drivers’ Title.
