F3 Testing: 2023 Pre-season Day 2 results

Day 2 of the Formula 3 pre-season testing has finished with Gregorie Saucy once again topping the morning session.

The pre-season F3 test in Bahrain entered its second day with ART Grand Prix’s Gregorie Saucy displaying his speed. The Frenchman’s form didn’t diminish as he once again found himself at the top of the times in both sessions. Let’s see who stood out on day two.

Morning Session (AM)

PHM Racing driver Sophie Floersch led the way as drivers were keen to make their way out on track early. Saucy became the only driver to finish in the 1.46s as he comfortably slotted into first. Jenzer Motorsport driver Alex Garcia stopped on track at Turn 6 which caused a red flag. As the temperature rose, drivers turned their attention to long runs with Hitech’s Gabriele Mini clocking in the most laps at 39. Luke Browning continued to impress his prospective team slotting into seventh.

Afternoon Session (PM)

With the track temperature cooling down, times tumbled as Mini became the first driver this week to narrowly beat Saucy who had a stoppage on track which resulted in a red flag. A second flag was brought out by Rodin Carlin driver Ollie Gray.
