Fans React to Rory McIlroy’s Unbelievable Photo With All 4 Majors

Fans have reacted to a picture of Rory McIlroy standing with all four major championship trophies. The Northern Irishman completed his career Grand Slam in April when he won the Masters at Augusta National, becoming only the sixth player in golf history to achieve the feat.

“A Netflix Documentary On His Life” – Photo Keeps Fans Guessing

A few weeks after helping Europe to an incredible victory in the Ryder Cup against Team USA at Bethpage Black, McIlroy was photographed standing proudly in his green jacket at the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland with all four major championship trophies. The photo, taken at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, has sent social media into a frenzy, with many guessing what the purpose of the photo was, while others were simply in awe of the incredible picture.

“Maybe filming for the Netflix show full swing?” A fan suggested that the Northern Irishman might be on the set for an upcoming show. However, another fan believes that a documentary about the Grand Slam winner is in the pipeline. “They’re probably gonna do a profile about his 4 major championships. I mean its easy to put 2 and 2 together.”

Yet another fan agreed it was a documentary. “Netflix documentary on his life.” But other fans think it was a picture from a possible Rolex advert. “Looks like it would be some Rolex shit,” a fan said. “Rolex commercial,” another fan posted.

However, some fans saw the funny side of the photo. “Let the man make his Christmas card in peace,”

Another fan thinks the 36-year-old is just cooling off. “Maybe he likes really boring tourist attractions.”

McIlroy’s Long Wait For Masters

McIlroy was immediately seen as one of golf’s next global stars after he turned professional in 2007. The Northern Irishman earned his European Tour card for 2008 after some impressive performances in his early starts before securing his first professional win at the Dubai Desert Classic in 2009. He went on to win four majors in the space of a few years — the U.S. Open (2011), PGA Championships (2012, 2014), and The Open Championship (2014). But the Masters at Augusta continued to elude him.

The 36-year-old came close several times, only to fall short in dramatic fashion. The most painful moment came in 2011, when he led the Masters going into the final round, only to collapse on the back nine and finish far from contention. That changed in April 2025, when McIlroy finally conquered Augusta, shooting a stunning final-round 65 to capture the green jacket and complete the career Grand Slam — a feat only Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, and Gene Sarazen had achieved before him. He also became the first player of European origin to complete the career Grand Slam.
