2021 Week Eight Heisman Rankings

2022 Week One Heisman Rankings

As Championship November approaches, typically the Heisman Trophy comes into focus. However, it’s about as wide open as we’ve ever seen it this deep into the season. But, we have two new entries in our top this week, and could we have a new leader? Before we get into the top half, let’s take a look at all of the contenders in our 2021 week eight Heisman rankings.

Bryce Young and Matt Corral seem to be at the top of everyone’s Heisman lists. However, with nobody else taking charge it’s possible that we could see some new faces in the coming weeks. Will Kenny Pickett or C.J. Stroud continue the climb up the leaderboard? With just over a month left to play, who will take advantage of that Heisman moment? With that being said, let’s take a look as we unveil our 2021 week eight Heisman rankings.

1. Matt Corral

QB | Ole Miss                                                                                                                                                                                     Next Game: 10/30 at Auburn

Corral stays put at number one despite having a somewhat subpar performance against LSU. He had a total of 209 yards both through the air and on the ground in the 14-point win over the Tigers. Corral and the Rebels head to the road in Jordan-Haire to face Auburn on Saturday which could prove to be a huge weekend for Corral.

Young continues to perform at an extremely high level with 26 touchdowns against just three interceptions. He had his best passing game of the season with 371 passing yards. Additionally, he added a couple of rushing touchdowns against Tennessee. The Crimson Tide has the week off before hosting rival LSU on Saturday.

After enjoying the week off, Walker and the Spartans host Michigan in the premier game of the weekend. 4. Kenny Pickett

QB | Pittsburgh                                                                                                                                                                       Next Game: 10/30 vs Miami, Fl

After the weekend victory over Clemson, Pickett vaults up to number three on our list with nearly 300 yards against the Tigers. Pickett has been nearly flawless on the season with 23 touchdown passes and only one interception. Now, he returns home to face a Miami Hurricane defense that has given up a lot of points and yards this season.

The next new member of the top five here is one of the hottest quarterbacks in the country. Stroud has spearheaded four straight 50-plus point performances for the Buckeyes. Stroud will now face his toughest test on defense this season as the Nittany Lions come calling. However, Stroud has the stage and the capabilities to make a run to the top.
