Bryson Washington Signs With Oklahoma

Oklahoma Offensive Line

As expected, the Oklahoma Sooners have officially signed Bryson Washington, a 6-foot-2, 196-pound safety out of Houston, Texas. Washington is a four-star recruit, per the 247Sports composite. He has offers from Alabama, Texas, and Auburn among others.

Bryson Washington Signs With The Oklahoma Sooners

Washington is the 207th ranked recruit nationally. However, he is the 19th rated safety in the country. In fact, he’s ranked as the 29th best player coming out of the state of Texas this year.

He is a ball-hawking safety who is dangerous when he gets the ball in his hands. Last year, he had five interceptions and of which he returned four for touchdowns. Washington also might have a future as a punt or a kick returned in Norman.

At 6-foot-2, he has the size that Grinch likes at the position. Coupled with the fact that there is not a ton of depth at the position, this is an important signing for Oklahoma. He will be given every opportunity to help out immediately on the Sooners defense.
