Brian Hightower Signs Early With Miami

More talented wide receivers are on the way to Coral Gables to help Mark Richt and the Miami Hurricanes. This time it’s Brian Hightower, six foot three sure handed wideout from Calabasas, California. Not many expected the Hurricanes to land a prospect from the west coast but after he transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida the Hurricanes became more familiar with him.

Keeping the commitment of Hightower was a huge move nationally especially with a prospect that holds offers from schools that are dependent on the west coast. Hightower had offers from Southern Cal, Nebraska, Alabama, Florida State,Clemson and UCLA.

Another Early Enrollee

The signing of Hightower only gets better after the California native will arrive shortly on the Hurricanes campus in a few weeks. Like the other players that are committed in the class he will be participating in the Army All-American game and then enrolling into Miami for the next semester.

Hightower has a chance to earn some early playing time this spring after Ahmon Richards tore his meniscus and may miss time during spring football while he rehabs. With his size he also has the ability to help the Hurricanes become more efficient in the red zone with his catch radius.
