WTA Austin Day 2 Predictions Including Iva Jovic vs Anna Blinkova

Bianca Andreescu marks her return to Tour-level tennis at the WTA ATX Open in Austin while 18-year-old sensation Iva Jovic makes her debut in the tournament. Who will reach the second round in Austin?

WTA Austin Day 2 Predictions

Bianca Andreescu vs Dalma Galfi

Head-to-head: Andreescu vs Galfi

Andreescu dropped into lower-tier events this season to rebuild her confidence and sharpness. It was a decision that has clearly yielded the required results. Andreescu lifted titles in two out of three ITF tournaments and is now inching closer to re-entering the Top 150. Galfi is a solid opponent with a higher ranking in this matchup, but the Hungarian is 0-3 in main draws at the tour level this season. And considering that Andreescu is back in competitive rhythm, she should progress.
Prediction: Andreescu in 2

Kaja Juvan vs Claire Liu

Head-to-head: Juvan 2-0 Liu

Claire Liu qualified for her first WTA main draw of the season. A good week in Austin could finally translate to a Top 200 return after nearly two years. Liu hasn’t beaten Kaja Juvan in two meetings, but the American has taken a set each time they played. Liu scraps hard and has the weapons to open up free points and take advantage of Juvan’s inconsistent start to 2026.
Prediction: Liu in 3

Iva Jovic vs Anna Blinkova

Head-to-head: first meeting

Jovic is playing in her first full season on the WTA Tour and she’s already established herself as a Top 20 player thanks to a breakout 2025 season. And she’s riding a real wave coming to Austin. A second WTA final appearance, a first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open, and a last 16 in Dubai, where she lost to eventual champion Jessica Pegula. Anna Blinova has a knack for beating top players unexpectedly, but hardly has any tangible momentum to build on (0-4 this season).
Prediction: Jovic in 2
