For the second time in 2025, Ekaterina Alexandrova will face off with fellow Russian Diana Shnaider. This time, it’s for the WTA title at the Abierto GNP Seguros, WTA Monterrey. After rain delayed play in their semifinal, Alexandrova took less than an hour to take the opening set over Bouzkova 6-3. Bouzkova retired injury, as she was battling a hip injury and despite receiving medical treatment, was unable to continue any further.
