Marie Bouzkova in action ahead of the WTA Prague Open.

WTA Prague Day 3 Predictions Including Marie Bouzkova vs Lucrezia Stefanini

The Prague second round throws together players at very different stages in their seasons; some riding waves of recent momentum, others still trying to find their rhythm. While a few matchups may look one-sided on paper, home-court advantage, surface familiarity, and streaky form could make things tighter than expected. Here’s a look at what to expect. As always we here at LWOS predict all the matches on offer, but who do you back to triumph?

WTA Prague Day 3 Predictions

Tereza Valentova vs Rebecca Sramkova

Head-to-Head: first meeting

It’s a first-time meeting between two players on very different trajectories. Tereza Valentova looked composed in her opener and has been riding a wave of momentum from recent wins at lower levels. Rebecca Sramkova, on the other hand, has struggled to string results together and hasn’t had much rhythm in recent weeks. Still, her experience could make this a tighter contest than expected. If Valentova keeps her nerves in check, she’ll have a real shot at backing up her strong start.

Prediction: Valentova in 2

Leolia Jeanjean vs Ann Li

Head-to-Head: first meeting

It’s a contrast in styles, and they’ve never played before. Ann Li’s comeback this season has seen some flashes of promise, and she came through her opener in convincing fashion. Jeanjean is scrappy and makes players work hard, which could test Li’s consistency over three sets. Could get nervy if it gets close late.

Prediction: Li in 3

Xinyu Wang vs Lucie Havlickova

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Xinyu Wang has been playing steady tennis and brings more top-level match experience into this one. Havlickova, meanwhile, is still adjusting to the tour but gave the home fans plenty to cheer about in round one. If she starts fast, things could get interesting—but Wang’s weight of shot might eventually prove too much. Still, the Czech teenager has nothing to lose.

Prediction: Wang in 3

Marie Bouzkova vs Lucrezia Stefanini

Head-to-Head: Bouzkova 1–0 Stefanini

Marie Bouzkova hasn’t had the most consistent year, but she looked sharp in her opener and knows these conditions well. Stefanini has done a good job adjusting to different surfaces recently and plays with plenty of grit. This one could come down to who handles the longer exchanges better as the match wears on. If Bouzkova maintains her level from the first round, she will be almost unplayable even for a motivated Stefanini.

Prediction: Bouzkova in 2
