The early rounds in Prague have already delivered a mix of dominant performances and narrow escapes. With several Czech players still in the draw, the home crowd could play a role in tipping the balance. Momentum is key at this stage of the tournament, especially with many players managing tight schedules and changing conditions. As always we here at LWOS predict all the matches on offer, but who do you back to triumph?
WTA Prague Day 3 Predictions
Sara Bejlek vs Alycia Parks
Head-to-Head: Bejlek 1–0 Parks
Sara Bejlek thrives on clay but she has been able to translate her form onto the hard courts here in Prague with a solid win in her first-round, showing the same confidence she’s been building over the past few weeks. Alycia Parks, meanwhile, relies on her big serve and first-strike tennis, which can be hit or miss at times. If the rallies extend, Bejlek could start to wear her down but the match will likely swing on how well Parks serves.
Prediction: Bejlek in 3
Jessika Ponchet vs Barbora Palicova
Head-to-Head: first meeting
Neither player came into Prague with a lot of recent match wins, but both handled their openers well. Barbora Palicova’s game looked more fluid than it has in weeks, and playing at home could give her a little extra lift. Jessica Ponchet prefers faster conditions, so keeping points short might be her best chance. A few key moments could decide this one.
Prediction: Palicova in 3
Dominika Salkova vs Katerina Siniakova
Head-to-Head: first meeting
It’s a tricky one for Katerina Siniakova, who hasn’t been at her best this season and has struggled to find rhythm in recent outings. Dominika Salkova, on the other hand, is playing freely and will play with less pressure on her shoulders as every match is an opportunity to further her progress at this level. If Siniakova doesn’t raise her level early, this could get tense. Expect the crowd to be vocal in what could be a tight contest. Siniakova’s experience at this level however should come clutch in crucial moments.
Prediction: Siniakova in 2
Linda Noskova vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto
Head-to-Head: first meeting
Both have had solid moments this year, and this matchup feels like it could go either way depending on who strikes first. Linda Noskova had to fight hard in round one but showed plenty of grit, while Elisabetta Cocciaretto looked composed from start to finish. If Noskova controls the baseline, she’ll have the edge but Cocciaretto won’t go away easily. Could be one of the best matches of the round.
Prediction: Noskova in 3
