Novak Djokovic Predicts Who Will Win 2025 Wimbledon Men’s Final

Novak Djokovic recently shared his thoughts on who will likely win the 2025 Wimbledon men’s final following his semifinal exit.

This year’s title match at the Championships pits the world’s top two players. It will be a French Open final rematch between World No. 1 Jannik Sinner and World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday.

Over a month ago, Alcaraz saved three match points in Paris to snatch the title from Sinner’s grasp. It was the Spaniard’s fifth successive win in a row in the head-to-head, which he now leads 8-4. He also leads the Grand Slam title count with five, while Sinner is stuck at three.

But despite his recent dominance, Alcaraz is only a “slight favorite,” according to the 24-time Grand Slam champion. Speaking to reporters after his straight-sets loss to Sinner in the semifinals, Djokovic gave second seed Alcaraz the edge while equally acknowledging Sinner’s ball-striking superiority after his sixth loss against the Italian.

Djokovic picks Alcaraz to beat Sinner in the Wimbledon final

Djokovic said, “I think I will give a slight edge to Carlos as a favorite because of the two titles he’s won here and the way he is playing and the confidence he has right now. But it’s just a  slight advantage because Jannik is hitting the ball extremely well.”

Djokovic believes the outcome will be close and expects it to go down to the wire, reminiscent of what the pair produced at this year’s French Open.

“I think it’s going to be again a very close matchup like we had in Paris,” he added.

Sinner is the first man after the Big Four to reach a final at all four Grand Slams. He is a three-time champion and will contest his first Wimbledon final. Alcaraz is the two-time defending champion, beating Djokovic in each of the last two Wimbledon editions. His last defeat at SW19 came against Sinner three years ago.
