Katerina Siniakova will be in action at the WTA Den Bosch Open.

WTA Den Bosch Day 1 Predictions Including Katerina Siniakova vs Anna Blinkova

The grass season is getting underway now that the dust at Roland Garros has settled, with action at Queen’s Club and the WTA Den Bosch Open. The field in the Netherlands is strong with multiple former champions and no shortage of solid grass-court contenders. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for every match on the slate for day one, including Elise Mertens vs Viktoria Tomova, but who will advance?

WTA Den Bosch Day 1 Predictions

Anastasija Sevastova vs Camila Osorio

Head-to-head: first meeting

Anastasija Sevastova did quite well in her comeback on clay and will look to continue building the momentum and rankings. She is playing on grass for the first time since 2021, which makes it hard to judge her level in the first match. However, this is a relatively kind draw for the Latvian. Camila Osorio is veyy much a clay court specialist and has few wins on this surface. Sevastova might be rusty, but I believe she can win this match with her superior experience.

Prediction: Sevastova in 3

Arianne Hartono vs Elisabetta Cocciaretto

Head-to-head: Cocciaretto 1-0 Hartono

Local player Arianne Hartono is playing here for the first time since 2022 and will hope to get a win. She has some matches under her belt on grass, but Elisabetta Cocciaretto is a top 100 player who has a positive win-loss record on grass. The Italian is not having a particularly good season and could do with some wins this week to develop some confidence, and this looks like a good opportunity to get off to a good start on the grass .

Prediction: Cocciaretto in 2

Katerina Siniakova vs Anna Blinkova

Head-to-head: first meeting

Katerina Siniakova is on a three-match losing streak, but she will be happy with the arrival of the grass court season. Siniakova can play some great tennis on this surface and will be looking to win her first match at the Libema Open. Anna Blinkova won a match here in 2022 and will look to at least match that result. Only one place separates these two in terms of rankings, but Siniakova’s experience and well-rounded grass-court game give her the advantage.

Prediction: Siniakova in 3
