WTA French Open semifinals
Sabalenka – Swiatek: 05.06.2025 15:00 CEST
H2H: 5-9
Aryna Sabalenka has won five straight matches. She has won all five matches this week in Paris without dropping a single set. In the opening round, Sabalenka lost only one game against Rakhimova. She demolished Teichmann and Danilovic in the second and third rounds. Her toughest challenge came in the 1/8-Finals. Anisimova put up a big fight against Sabalenka yesterday. The world number 1 won against Anisimova 7-5 6-3. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, Sabalenka defeated Zheng in straight sets. Last season at the French Open, Sabalenka lost against Andreeva in the quarterfinals in three tight sets.
Iga Swiatek has won five straight matches. Swiatek had a favourable draw this week in Paris until the fourth round. She won her first, second and third-round matches in straight sets. In the 1/8-Finals, the Pole lost the opening set 1-6 and trailed in the second set 0-2. However, she stayed calm and turned the match around against Rybakina, winning in three sets. Yesterday, in the quarterfinals, she defeated Svitolina in straight sets. Swiatek has won four titles here in Paris. Even more impressive is that she won the last three French Open titles.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this will be a 50-50 matchup, but we disagree. Swiatek is the best clay-court player in the world. She leads 5-1 in head-to-head meetings on clay and enjoys playing in Paris. We expect her to be a better player tomorrow.
That being said, Swiatek winning is a value bet.

Boisson – Gauff: 05.06.2025 16:30 CEST
H2H: first meeting
Lois Boisson has won ten straight matches. This week in Paris, Boisson has been granted a wild card. En route to the 1/8-Finals, she defeated Mertens, Kalinina and Jacquemot. In the 1/8-Finals, Boisson secured her biggest career win, upsetting Pegula in three tight sets. After losing the opening set 3-6, Boisonn turned the match around after spending almost three hours on the court. Today in the quarterfinals, Boisson upset Andreeva in the quarterfinals with the help of the crowd. She won in straight sets.
Coco Gauff has won five straight matches. She is one of the biggest favourites to win this week’s title in Paris. En route to the 1/8-Finals, Gauff defeated Gadecki, Valentova and Bouzkova in straight sets. In the 1/8-Finals, she won against Alexandrova in straight sets. Gauff was great under pressure, saving eight out of nine breakpoints. Today, in the quarterfinals, she won against Keys in three sets after losing the opening set 6-7. Last season at the French Open, Gauff lost against Swiatek in the semifinals.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Gauff is the favourite in this matchup, and we agree. She is the second biggest favourite to win the title this week in Paris. Boisson defeated Andreeva because Andreeva, being so inexperienced, fumbled under pressure. However, Gauff is much more experienced at the Grand Slam level, and we expect her to dominate.
That being said, Gauff winning in straight sets is a value bet.
