WTA Madrid Open Best Bets Including Ashlyn Krueger vs Anastasia Potapova

Here are my best bets for the WTA Madrid Open. My feature match is Ashlyn Krueger vs Anastasia Potapova. Do you think I was on the mark with my bets? Let me know in the comments below if you think I chose well.

WTA Madrid Open

Krueger – Potapova: Time 14:00

H2H: 0-0

Ashlyn Krueger and Anastasia Potapova meet for the first time in Madrid, and both ladies could very much use a victory. Krueger sits at 16-10 in 2025 with a tournament victory in Abu Dhabi. Anastasia Potapova is 13-6 with a victory at the Transylvania Open in Romania. Both ladies are 6-4 in their last ten matches.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Anastasia Potapova as the favorite in this match, and I agree. Krueger isn’t terribly experienced with clay courts, she’s only 31-24 for her career. Potapova isn’t exactly a clay court guru, but she does have at least two times the experience, as she’s 70-39 for her career on clay. The best part about Potapova is that she’s 1.91, so not only can you bet on the favorite with a little comfort, you stand to nearly double your money.

That being said, Potapova winning is a value bet for sure.

McCartney – Andreescu: Time 17:30

H2H: 0-0

McCartney Kessler and Bianca Andreescu will meet for the first time in Madrid. While both ladies enter with a two-match losing streak, Kessler does have a finals performance in her recent past, losing to Jessica Pegula in Austin. Andreescu is trying to put together a winning streak, having gone 3-7 in her last ten matches. Kessler is 6-4 in the same span of matches.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Andreescu as a slight favorite. It’s likely due to the amount of time off before her return at the Open Rouen Capfinances Métropole. Kessler has already played 26 matches in 2025, and she is playing better entering this match. She might be the underdog here, but she’s easily the better player and has been playing more tennis than Andreescu.

That being said,  Kessler winning under is a value bet for sure.

Value bet/ the best odds:  Kessler winning @2.10 @Pinnacle

Sevastova –  Pavlyuchenkova: Time 11:00

H2H: 0-8

Anastasija Sevastova has not beaten Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in eight previous attempts. Whether on clay, hardcourt, or indoors, Pavlyuchenkova has never lost, and only twice has it gone beyond two sets. That said, these two haven’t played since 2021, and four years is a long time. Either Sevastova wins for the first time ever at WTA Madrid Open or she accepts that Pavlyuchenkova might have her number.

Best Bet to Make

The books have Pavlyuchenkova as the favorite, and it’s easy to see why. Eight previous victories over your opponent with no losses is going to earn you the benefit of the doubt. The moneyline offerings on this game don’t offer enough value, but you can take Pavlyuchenkova at 2:0 at 2.00, which is basically the same thing. Remember, these two have only ever played three sets twice in their eight previous matchups. If you’re picking Pavlyuchenkova, take her in straight sets to optimize your value.

That being said, Pavlyuchenkova at 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
