Linda Noskova Receives NSFW Death Threat
World No.31, Linda Noskova has received terrifying NSFW death threat after her early exit in Indian Wells.
The 20-year-old Czech player has endured a lot in the last one year, with her mother passing due to cancer in June of last year. This must have been terrifying for her, but she demonstrated incredible courage by sharing it and exposing the rageholic. The sad part about this is that these pathetic acts have become very common now. Most of the time, these come from gamblers who bet on the player and then lose huge sums, and take it out on the players.

This shouldn’t be dismissed as “another day in the life of a tennis player” because this shouldn’t be happening and honestly should be prosecuted as a threat against someone’s life, because that’s what it is. A sample of these types of comments should be investigated and the culprits should be charged. It would at least scare some of them enough to think twìce about threatening someone.
Marketa Vondrousova Announces a Break from Tennis
Marketa Vondrousova, the former Wimbledon champion, has announced via Instagram that she will be taking a break from tennis to recover from her shoulder injury. She said:
“Stepping out of the court again. I am still struggling with shoulder injury. Although it’s not easy, I now have a few months of intensive training and rehabilitation to get my arm back together. Patience and time are my priorities right now, but I believe it will all be worth it. so hopefully back on the court soon.”
Vondrousova has been plagued by injuries throughout her career, including the injury she sustained in Adelaide earlier this year which forced her to miss the Australian Open. She was playing well too in the last few tournaments and only lost to top players. Hopefully, this break would help her recover fully and play without any pain when she comes back.
The WTA Introduces Paid Maternity Leave
The WTA will offer paid maternity leave to female players on the Tour for the first time. This is a groundbreaking step from the governing body and will help many tennis players in the future. More than 320 players will be eligible for up to 12 months paid leave through a new maternity fund. Grants will also be made available for fertility treatment. The maternity programme will be fully funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is a global partner of the WTA Tour.
This program empowers women tennis players, by providing the support and flexibility to pursue professional careers and build families. It’s awesome, especially for lower ranked players who can barely make it during their pregnancy.

Nadal has brought so much joy to tennis and fans all over the world over the last 20 years, and it would be fantastic to watch him discuss many things in depth for the first time since retiring from the Davis Cup last year. Andy Roddick is as good of a podcaster as he was a tennis player. and brings humor, and a candid, unfiltered style to his discussions. He asks smart questions but also knows when to let the conversation flow naturally. One can be assured that the conversation between these two would be engaging.
