ATP Buenos Aires Best Bets Including Zverev vs Cerundolo

ATP 250 Buenos Aires quarterfinals

Seyboth Wild – Djere: 14.02.2025 Time TBA
H2H: 2-3

Thiago Seyboth Wild has lost three of his last five matches. So far this season, Thiago played three tournaments and lost in the opening round each time. He tried to find his form at the Challenger tournament in Quimper last month but also failed in the opening round. In the ATP Buenos Aires opening round, Thiago defeated Diaz Acosta in three tight sets. After losing the opening set, Thiago stepped up his level and turned the match around. As we had predicted, Thiago won against Baez in straight sets in the second round. It is his fourth appearance in Buenos Aires.

Laslo Djere has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago, Djere reached the quarterfinals in Quimper, losing against Gueymard Wayenburg in three tight sets. This week in Buenos Aires, Laslo successfully qualified for the main draw tournament without losing a set. In the opening main draw round, he defeated Muller in straight sets. Djere offered and saved only one breakpoint. In the second round, as we predicted, Laslo won against Tabilo in three tight sets. It is his sixth appearance in Buenos Aires. Last season, Laslo lost in the second round against Vavassori in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Seyboth Wild is the slight underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Thiago played great in the second round against Baez yesterday. Looking at their last two encounters, Thiago won both matches on clay against Djere. We believe that Seyboth Wild is a better clay court player than Djere.

That being said, Seyboth Wild winning is a value bet.

Zverev – Cerundolo: 14.02.2025 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Alexander Zverev has won four of his last five matches. The last match he played before the ATP Buenos Aires was at the Australian Open, where he lost against Sinner in the final in straight sets, as we predicted. It is his first appearance in Buenos Aires. In the opening round, Sascha won against Lajovic in tight straight sets, as we predicted. He trailed 0-2 in the second set but successfully turned it around. Zverev is the first seed this week.

Francisco Cerundolo has won four of his last five matches. This week in Buenos Aires, He won the opening-round match against Darderi in easy straight sets. He dominated from the start until the end. Yesterday, in the second round, he won against Juan Manuel Cerundolo in straight sets. He was great under pressure, saving all four breakpoints.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Zverev is the favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. He looked rusty in his opening match against Lajovic. On the other hand, Francisco has already won two matches in Buenos Aires and has dominated both. Last year in Madrid under similar conditions, Cerundolo defeated Zverev in straight sets. We expect him to keep this match tight.

That being said, Cerundolo covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Francisco Cerundolo +3.5 games handicap @1.83 @bet365
