Michael Mmoh has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Cleveland, Michael played his first competitive match since April 2024. Michael had a serious elbow injury, which kept him off the court for most of the 2024 season. He lost in the second round against Spizzirri in straight sets. This week in Dallas, Mmoh successfully qualified for the main draw tournament. He won both qualifying matches in straight sets. Mmoh won against Carballes Baena in three sets in the opening main draw round. It is his fourth appearance in Dallas. Last year, Michael lost against Shelton in the second round.
Casper Ruud has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Melbourne, he lost in the second round against Mensik in four sets. Last week, Casper gave his best for Norway against Argentina in the Davis Cup. He won both singles matches in straight sets, but Norway still lost against Argentina, as we predicted. In the opening round in Dallas, Ruud won against Duckworth in three sets. It is his first appearance in Dallas. Casper has never had any success on indoor hard courts.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Ruud is the big favorite in this matchup, and we agree. Mmoh is still recovering from his elbow injury and needs time to get back to his best level. On the other hand, Ruud is a top-five player, and we expect him to get the job done easily.
That being said, Ruud winning in straight sets is a value bet.

Reilly Opelka has won three of his last five matches. Reilly reached the final in Brisbane at the beginning of the season when he retired mid-match against Lehecka. Opelka has been suffering from injuries for the last couple of seasons. Yesterday, in the opening round, Opelka defeated Shevchenko in straight sets, as we predicted. The big American hopes to stay fit and play without any back problems. In 2022, Opelka won the title in Dallas, winning against Brooksby in the final.
Cameron Norrie has lost three of his last five matches. It has been a disappointing season so far for the Brit, who also had a disappointing season last year, which resulted in him being outside the top 50 in the rankings. In the opening round of the ATP Dallas, Norrie won against Michelsen after losing the first set 2-6. It is his third appearance in Dallas. The last time he played here was in 2020 when he lost against Jung in the second round.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, this will be an almost 50-50 match, but we disagree. Opelka is in better form right now. He thrives on indoor courts, which he showed in the opening round against Shevchenko. On the other hand, Norrie struggled with his form for over a year. We expect Opelka to win this match.
