ATP Australian Open Best Bets Including Djokovic vs Lehecka

ATP Australian Open 1/8-Finals

Humbert – Zverev: 19.01.2025 08:00 CEST
H2H: 1-2

Ugo Humbert has won four of his last five matches. So far in Melbourne, the Frenchman has only lost one set in the tournament. In the opening round, Ugo defeated Gigante in straight sets. Hady Habib also had no answer for Ugo’s game in the second round. Humbert won in straight sets once again. Yesterday, in the third round, Arthur Fils retired in the fourth set after being 1-2 down against Humbert. This will be the toughest challenge for Humbert, who has had a favorable draw. Last year in Melbourne, Humbert reached the third round, losing against Hurkacz in four sets.

Alexander Zverev has won five straight matches. So far this season, Sascha has only played in the United Cup, winning both matches. In his opening match here in Melbourne, Sascha defeated Pouille in straight sets. He offered and saved two breakpoints and was solid under pressure. In the second round, Zverev demolished Pablo Martinez in straight sets. In the third round, Sascha defeated Fearnley in easy straight sets yesterday. Last year in Melbourne, Alexander was 2-0 up against Medvedev in the semifinals. Daniil turned the match around.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Humbert is the big underdog in this matchup, but we disagree. Ugo played great tennis this week in Melbourne. We expect a tight match that could go either way. The Frenchman is always a dangerous opponent.

That being said, Humbert covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Djokovic – Lehecka: 19.01.2025 09:00 CEST
H2H: 1-0

Novak Djokovic has won four of his last five matches. So far this season, Novak has played only one preparation tournament. Last week in Brisbane, Djokovic reached the quarterfinals, losing against Opelka in straight sets. In his opening Australian Open round, Novak defeated Basavareddy in four sets, as we predicted. After that, in the second round, Novak also won against Faria in four sets. Yesterday, Machac had no answer for Novak’s game in the third round. Djokovic won in easy straight sets. Last year in Melbourne, Djokovic lost in the semifinals against Sinner in four sets.

Jiri Lehecka has won eight straight matches. Last week in Brisbane, Lehecka won the title. Here in Melbourne, Lehecka had a favorable draw so far. In the opening round, Jiri defeated Tu in four sets. Jiri did not give a brilliant performance. Lehecka won the opening set 6-3 in the second round against Gaston. Hugo trailed 1-3 in the second set when he decided to retire. Yesterday, in the third round, Jiri defeated Bonzi easily in straight sets. Last year in Melbourne, Lehecka was upset by Michelsen in the second round, losing in four sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Djokovic is the big favorite in this matchup, but we disagree. Jiri has won eight consecutive matches and is fully confident on the court. We expect him to play well tomorrow and keep this match tight.

That being said, Jiri covering the games handicap is a value bet.
