ATP Brisbane Semifinal Predictions Including Grigor Dimitrov vs Jiri Lehecka

Top-seeded Novak Djokovic fell to Reilly Opelka in the quarterfinals, which leaves the 2025 ATP Brisbane International singles title a little more up for grabs. But for someone unexpected to win, No. 2 seed Grigor Dimitrov would have to lose and he’s got a pristine record at this venue. In the top half of the draw, Reilly Opelka and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard meet in a match of perhaps the best two servers on the planet right now. Who do you think will make the final?

ATP Brisbane Semifinal Predictions

Reilly Opelka vs Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

Head-to-head:  First meeting

This is a cool story as when Reilly Opelka was coming onto the tour, he was considered the most dynamic, athletic, and baseline-oriented that a “servebot” can be. But the standards have changed since and now Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard is simply in another league footwork-wise while probably possessing the strongest serve on the circuit. Still, the reality is that these two are just very likely to have to settle this match in tie-breaks and literally one random error could change the course of their semifinal. The slightly better serve, the slightly better baseline game – Mpetshi Perricard. But it’s not a guarantee it will matter in a lottery scenario.
Predictions: Mpetshi Perricard in 3

Jiri Lehecka vs Grigor Dimitrov

Head-to-head: Lehecka 2-1

Grigor Dimitrov is the greatest of all time at this event, racking up 26 match wins over the years and looking to make his fourth final. It will be interesting to see if the Bulgarian falls off at all this year, considering 2023-24 was such a massive revival of his career. If he does, we haven’t seen any indication of that so far at his favorite event. Jiri Lehecka loves the Australian swing himself (Australian Open quarterfinal in 2023, title in Adelaide last year) and will be the toughest challenge Dimitrov has faced so far. But let’s say the Brisbane king has one more run to the final left in him.
Prediction: Dimitrov in 3
