Nitto ATP Finals Turin Alcaraz vs Rublev Best Bet

Carlos Alcaraz in action ahead of the Six Kings Slam final.

Nitto ATP Finals Turin Group B

Alcaraz – Rublev: 13.11.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-2

Carlos Alcaraz has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Carlos reached the 1/8-Finals, where he was upset by Ugo Humbert in three tight sets. Carlos once again failed in the indoor tournament. The Spaniard is yet to win a title on the indoor hard courts, and holds a career winning 24-11 record. So far this season, Alcaraz has participated in only one indoor tournament, which was in Paris, last week. Here in Turin, Carlos was not healthy in his opening match against Ruud, and lost in straight sets. In 2022, Carlos got injured after the US Open, and skipped the ATP Finals tournament. However, last year, Alcaraz managed to get into the semifinals, where he was stopped by Novak Djokovic in straight sets. So far this season, Alcaraz has already won two Grand Slam titles. Earlier this season, Carlos won the French Open title, winning against Alexander Zverev in the final, after spending almost five hours on the court. Other than that, Alcaraz completely dominated throughout the whole clay court season. However, his biggest loss was in the Olympic Games, where he was stopped by Novak Djokovic in the final. One of his biggest matches was at Wimbledon, where he defended his Wimbledon title, winning against Djokovic in the final, in straight sets. His last big title was in Beijing, where he won in the final against Sinner in three tight sets.

Andrey Rublev has lost four of his last five matches. Last week in Metz, Rublev withdrew from his quarterfinal encounter against Moutet. After Djokovic withdrew from the ATP Finals, Rublev took his spot, and eventually withdrew from his quarterfinal match, apparently because of an abdominal injury. We believe that Andrey just wanted to have some rest, and to prepare for the ATP Finals in Turin. Here in Turin, Andrey lost his opening match against Zverev in straight sets as we predicted. This has been a roller-coaster type of season for the young Russian, who has struggled emotionally on the court throughout the whole season. Andrey started this season well, winning the title in Hong Kong at the beginning of the season. After that, Rublev reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, where he fought a battle against Jannik Sinner. The Russian also finished as the runner-up in Montreal, Where he was upset by Popyrin in the final. Other than that, Rublev has not had any success on the hard courts this season. His biggest title of the season was in Madrid, earlier this season. Andrey won the title, winning against Auger-Aliassime in the final. Last year in Turin, Rublev was the worst player in the tournament, not winning a single set throughout the whole tournament.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Rublev is the big underdog in this matchup, and we can not agree with that. We are still not sure if Alcaraz will be healthy enough for this matchup. This is a must-win match for both players, and we expect a tight match that could go either way.

That being said, Rublev covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Andrey Rublev +3.5 games handicap @2.00 @bet365
