ATP Stockholm Best Bets Including Rublev vs Muller

Andrey Rublev in action ahead of the ATP Dubai Tennis Championships.

ATP 250 Stockholm 1/8-Finals

Kecmanovic – Jarry: 17.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Miomir Kecmanovic has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Kecmanovic lost in the second round of the tournament against Popyrin in straight sets. Here in Stockholm, Miomir defeated Norrie in straight sets as we predicted. So far this season, Miomir has not had any remarkable results, which led to him being outside the top 50 in the rankings. Last year in Stockholm, Kecmanovic reached the semifinals, where he lost against Kotov in straight sets. He loves to play under fast conditions such as this one.

Nicolas Jarry has lost three of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Shanghai, Nico lost his opening match against Wu in straight sets. It was a terrible performance from Jarry. Here in Stockholm, Jarry defeated Elias Ymer in three tight sets as we predicted. Nicolas even saved one match point in the third set. In the Asian swing, Jarry has played four matches, with a losing 1-3 record. Last year around this time, Jarry played in Basel, where he lost his second round match against Humbert in tight straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Miomir is the slight favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. Kecmanovic loves to play on the indoor courts, and we believe that he feels comfortable playing here in Stockholm. Jarry is still struggling with his form, so we expect Miomir to win this match comfortably.

That being said, Kecmanovic winning is a value bet.

Rublev – Muller: 17.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Andrey Rublev has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Andrey lost his opening match against Mensik in three tight sets. It was a disappointing Asian swing for the Russian. Rublev had his biggest results on the clay courts this season. His biggest title was in Madrid, where he won the title, winning against Auger-Aliassime in the final.

Alexandre Muller has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Shanghai, Muller lost his third round match against Tsitsipas in straight sets as we predicted. Here in Stockholm, Alexandre had a favorable draw. He defeated Leo Borg in straight sets. Muller was a better player from the very start, and deservedly won in straight sets. Alexandre had his biggest results this season at the challenger tour level. With those performances and challenger titles, Muller cemented his top 100 spot. Last year around this time, Muller played in Vienna, where he lost his opening main-draw match against Tommy Paul in straight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Andrey is the big favorite in this matchup. In their last and only head-to-head meeting, Muller upset Rublev in three tight sets on the clay court in Rome. However, under these fast conditions, we believe that Rublev will dominate in this match, and win easily in straight sets.

That being said, Rublev winning in straight sets is a value bet.
