ATP Shanghai Best Bets Including Sinner vs Daniel

Jannik Sinner in action ahead of the US Open.

ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai 1/32-Finals

Musetti – Goffin: 05.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 3-0

Lorenzo Musetti has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Beijing, Musetti reached the 1/8-Finals, where he lost against Bu in straight sets as we predicted. Just a week before that, Musetti reached the final in Chengdu, where he lost against Shang in straight sets as we predicted. Musetti is looking for a solid result this week to cement his top 20 status. Last year in Shanghai, Lorenzo was upset by Hsu in the opening round, so he will have no points to defend this year.

David Goffin has won three of his last five matches. The last match he played before Shanghai was at the US Open, where he lost against Machac in the third round of the tournament. Since then, David has taken some time off to rest and prepare for the upcoming Asian swing. Here in Shanghai, Goffin defeated Duckworth in straight sets in his opening match. So far this season, Goffin has not had any remarkable results. He spent a lot of time playing at the challenger

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Musetti is the slight favorite in this matchup. Lorenzo has not had any success last year in the Asian swing. Goffin had an excellent opening round performance, so we believe that he will be confident coming into this matchup. We believe that his experience will prevail in this match, and that he will have a decent chance tomorrow.

That being said, Goffin covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: David Goffin +3.5 games handicap @1.73 @bet365

Sinner – Daniel: 05.10.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-0

Jannik Sinner has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Beijing, Jannik reached the final, where he lost against Alcaraz in three tight sets as we predicted. Sinner won the first set, and was close to winning the match, but Carlos turned the match around, and ended Jannik´s 16 match winning streak. This has been the most successful season for the young Italian, who became just the fourth player to win two hardcourt Grand Slams in a single season. Last year in Shanghai, Sinner reached the third round, where he was upset by Shelton.

Taro Daniel has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Tokyo, Taro failed to qualify for the main-draw tournament, losing against O’Connell in the final qualifying round. Here in Shanghai, Daniel defeated Gerasimov in the opening round in three tight sets. Last year in Shanghai, Taro was upset by Sweeny in the opening round.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Sinner is the big favorite in this matchup. We believe that Jannik is a far better player than Daniel at this moment, and that he will dominate from the very start. Daniel has been struggling throughout the whole season, so we think that he will have no chance against Sinner.

That being said, Sinner covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Jannik Sinner -6.5 games handicap @2.00 @bet365
