Brandon and Alejandro are the best ranked players for the USA and Chile. This meeting will be played indoors on hard. Nakashima reached the fourth round of the US Open, where he lost against Zverev in four sets. So far this season, Brandon has had some solid results, which brought him back into the top 50. Being an American, Nakashima loves to play on the indoor hard courts. Alejandro Tabilo lost in the first round of the US Open in the first round in straight sets. Tabilo played great on the clay and grass court part of the season. However, in this second part of the season, Tabilo underperformed.
We believe that Nakashima is currently in better form than Tabilo. Brandon had a solid US Open tournament, so we believe that he will be confident coming into this match. On the other hand, Tabilo is still struggling with his form.
That being said, we believe that Nakashima will win the first match for the USA.
2nd potential matchup:
Mackenzie McDonald – Nicolas Jarry
Mackenzie and Nicolas are the second best ranked players for the USA and Chile. McDonald lost in the first round of the US Open against Sinner in four sets as we predicted. Mackenzie did not have much success this season, which led to him being out of the top 100 in the rankings. Nicolas Jarry has lost seven straight matches. His last win was in Rome in May, when he lost in the final against Zverev. His last match was at the US Open, where he lost against O’Connell in the first round in four tight sets.
Jarry loves to play on the clay courts. His last hard court win was in March. On the other hand, McDonald is also out of form, but he has had some solid matches on the hard courts recently. We believe that he will be a better player in this match.
That being said, we believe that McDonald will win the second match for the USA.
3rd potential matchup:
Ram/Krajicek – Barrios Vera/Tabilo
We expect the USA and Chile to play their doubles matches like this. Krajicek and Ram played at the Olympic Games together. They reached the final, where they fell short against Ebden and Peers in three tight sets. Both of them have been playing together for a while now. Barrios Vera and Tabilo also played a lot of matches together. They won the title this year in Santiago on clay. However, they usually underperformed on the indoor courts.
The Americans will be better players under these conditions. Tabilo and Barrios Vera would have had a big chance if they had played on clay. However, the indoor fast conditions will be the perfect conditions for Americans.
That being said, we believe that Ram and Krajicek will get the third win for the USA.
Best Bet to Make
The USA has more experienced players at this moment. We believe that they will dominate in both singles and doubles, and win this meeting easily.
That being said, USA winning 3-0 is a value bet.
