Before that, Sebastian reached the semifinals in Montreal, where he lost against Popyrin in straight sets. Korda always struggled here in New York. However, yesterday, Sebastian dominated against Moutet in straight sets as we predicted. Last year at the US Open, Korda lost his opening match against Fucsovics in five tough sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Korda is the favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. Sebastian showed great tennis in his opening match. We believe that he is overall a way better hard court player than Machac.
That being said, Korda covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Facundo Diaz Acosta has lost three of his last five matches. Three weeks ago in Montreal, Diaz Acosta failed to qualify for the main-draw. Being an Argentinian, Facundo spent most of his career playing on the slow clay courts. He never had any success on the faster courts. Yesterday at the US Open, Diaz Acosta won his opening match against Gaston in straight sets. Gaston played a terrible match, which is the main reason why Diaz won that match so easily. Last year in New York, Diaz Acosta lost his opening match against Isner in straight sets.
Jack Draper has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Cincinnati, Draper reached the quarterfinals where he lost against Rune in straight sets. En route to the quarterfinals, Jack won all of his matches in three sets, and struggled throughout the whole week. Yesterday in New York, Zhang retired mid-match against Draper. So far this season, Jack won his maiden title in Stuttgart, and finished as a runner-up in Adelaide at the beginning of the season. Draper is currently the best ranked British player, so the fans will expect him to perform in New York. Last year at the US Open, Draper reached the 1/8-Finals, when he lost against Rublev in four tight sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Draper is the big favorite in this matchup. We expect him to dominate from the very start against the inexperienced Diaz Acosta. Draper had his biggest results on the fast courts such as this one, so we believe that he will dominate tomorrow.
