ATP US Open Best Bets Including Auger-Aliassime vs Mensik

Felix Auger-Aliassime in action at the ATP Miami Open.

ATP US Open 1/64-Finals

Mensik – Auger-Aliassime: 27.08.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Jakub Mensik has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Cincinnati, Mensik failed to qualify for the main-draw tournament. A week before that, Jakub failed to qualify in Montreal as well. That being said, Mensik failed to qualify in both preparation tournaments for the US Open. His last main-draw win on the hard courts was at Indian Wells, earlier this season. Last year at the US Open, Jakub reached the third round where he lost against Fritz in straight sets.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Cincinnati, Felix reached the 1/8-Finals where he lost against Draper in three tight sets. A week before that, Auger was upset by Cobolli in the first round of the Montreal Masters tournament. The former world number 6 is on the verge of dropping out of the top 20. He needs a solid result in New York to secure his top 20 spot. Last year in New York, Felix lost in the first round against McDonald in four tight sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Felix is the slight favorite in this matchup. Even though he is out of form, Auger had a solid tournament preparation last week. On the other hand, Mensik did not have any remarkable results on the hard courts this season. We believe that Felix is a better hard-court player at this moment, and that his experience will prevail in this match.

That being said, Felix covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Felix Auger-Aliassime -4.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365

Moutet – Korda: 27.08.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 0-1

Corentin Moutet has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Winston-Salem, Moutet lost in the second round of the tournament against Safiullin in straight sets. A week before that, Moutet successfully qualified in Cincinnati, but failed in the first main-draw round against Marozsan. Last year in New York, Moutet lost his opening match against Andy Murray in straight sets.

Sebastian Korda has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Cincinnati, Korda was upset by the Spaniard, Carreno-Busta, in the opening round. Before that, Sebastian reached the semifinals in Montreal, where he lost against Popyrin in straight sets. Korda always struggled here in New York. He has won only once in the main-draw tournament out of six appearances. Last year at the US Open, Korda lost his opening match against Fucsovics in five tough sets.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Korda is the favorite in this matchup, and we agree with that. He had a solid performance in Montreal two weeks ago. We believe that he is a way better hard court player than Moutet, and that he will dominate from the very start. So far this season, Corentin has had only one main-draw win on the hard courts.

That being said, Korda covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Sebastian Korda -5.5 games handicap @1.80 @bet365
