Here in Cincinnati, Brandon competed three times, but lost in the first round every time.

According to the bookies, Taylor is the favorite in this matchup. Both players are great hard-court players. Brandon played a lot of tournaments on the hard courts this season, and is looking to improve his record at the Masters level. He had a solid performance last week in Montreal under almost the same conditions. We believe that he will keep this match tight.

Here in Cincinnati, Brandon fought through the qualifying tournament successfully. In the first qualifying round, Holt defeated Lajovic in three tight sets. After that, in the final qualifying round, Brandon defeated Svajda in another three-set thriller. Last year in Cincinnati, Holt lost in the first qualifying round against Fils in straight sets.
Arthur Fils has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Montreal, Arthur lost his first round match against Humbert in straight sets. Arthur played a terrible match, and could not find his rhythm. His last hard court win was in March at Indian Wells, where he won against Davidovich Fokina in straight sets. Fils is looking to get a solid result this week to get into the top 20 in the rankings. Last year in Cincinnati, Fils lost in the first round against Ugo Humbert in three tough sets.
Best Bet to Make
According to the bookies, Fils is the big favorite in this matchup. Holt is a solid hard-court player. He has already played two matches here in Cincinnati, so we believe that he will be ready for his first main-draw round match. On the other hand, Fils still needs some time to adapt to the surface. We believe that Holt will keep this match tight with the support of the crowd.
That being said, Holt covering the games handicap is a value bet.
