ATP Montreal Best Bets Including Korda vs Pospisil

Sebastian Korda Australian Open

ATP Masters 1000 Montreal 1/32-Finals

Navone – Fritz: 07.08.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting

Mariano Navone has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Navone reached the second round of the Olympic Games where he lost against Musetti in straight sets. Navone achieved his biggest results on clay, which secured him a safe spot in the top 50. He has only played one hard court match this season, which was at the Australian Open qualification, where he lost against Prizmic in three sets. So far in his career, Navone has played only six hard court matches, with a losing 2-4 record. His last hard court victory was in 2020 at the ITF tournament.

Taylor Fritz has won three of his last five matches. Last week in Paris, Fritz reached the 1/8-Finals of the Olympic Games, where he lost against Musetti in straight sets as we predicted. His last hard court match was in Miami in March when he lost against Seyboth Wild in the first round of the tournament. So far this season, Fritz has won two titles. One was in Delray Beach on the hard court, and the other one was in Eastbourne on grass.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Fritz is the favorite in this matchup. He is obviously more experienced, and overall, a better hard-court player than Navone. Mariano never had any success on the fast courts. We believe that Fritz will dominate from the very start, and win easily.

That being said, Fritz covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Value bet/ the best odds: Taylor Fritz -5.5 games handicap @2.00 @bet365

Korda – Pospisil: 07.08.2024 Time TBA
H2H: 1-1

Sebastian Korda has won five straight matches. He finally found his form and won the title last week in Washington. En route to his title run, Korda just lost two sets, and was dominant throughout the whole tournament. This was his first title of the season. Korda has been struggling with his form this season a lot. With his recent title win, Sebastian is a top 20 player. Last year in Toronto, Korda lost in the second round of the tournament against Vukic in three tight sets.

Vasek Pospisil has lost three straight matches. Three weeks ago in Granby, Vasek lost his first round match against Boulais at the challenger level. His last victory was in April, when he lost against Mejia in the quarterfinals of the challenger tournament in Mexico. Vasek is still struggling with the injuries, and has a hard time getting back to his best level. So far this season, Pospisil has not won a single match at the ATP tour level.

Best Bet to Make

According to the bookies, Korda is the big favorite in this matchup. Pospisil is, unfortunately, completely out of form. He did not play much tennis this season, and when he played, Vasek did not look fit on the court. On the other hand, Korda has finally found his form, and is looking great at the moment. We believe that he will win easily against Vasek tomorrow.

That being said, Korda covering the games handicap is a value bet.
