Paris Olympics Day 2 Men’s Doubles Predictions
Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz (Germany) vs Daniil Medvedev and Roman Safiullin (Neutral)

Here we have a matchup of doubles specialists vs pure power. Medvedev’s game isn’t meant for doubles—then again, it’s not meant for clay and he has plenty of success anyway. But I think the Germans’ proficiency with the game will matter more here.

John Peers and Matthew Ebden (Australia) vs Benjamin Hassan and Hady Habib (Lebanon)

The Lebanese team entered the draw by having two men in singles, but neither made the singles draw on ranking alone. This should be a great experience for them at the Olympics, but it won’t be a long stay.

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski (Great Britain) vs Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek (Czech Republic)

This might be one of the round’s most lopsided matches. The Brits are a strong doubles team. The Czechs are not.

Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul (United States) vs Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime (Canada)

This North American battle should be fun. All four players are pretty strong singles players, though Raonic’s health is in question. If he’s healthy, though, his length might make the difference in this match that will be decided by tiny margins.
